My latest posts have all been monthly updates of the little man, which I didn’t intend for that to be all I wrote about. Here are some pics to update everyone.
Little man is five months old.
I really started laughing a lot this month. The things that get me going are: when I get bubbles on my tummy from mommy and daddy, kisses on my neck and ears, munching on my toes and when I soak mommy and daddy in the bathtub with my double leg kicks. They’re asking for it by hanging out in the “splash zone”.
I am still rolling over from my tummy to my back but haven’t quite gotten the back to tummy just yet.
The coolest thing in the world are my feet and toes, and I’ve mastered sticking them in my mouth (along with everything else) and sucking on my big toe.
I weigh almost 16 lbs.
I met my cousins Evan and Marshall for the first time. One day I’ll be able to chase after them. I can’t wait.
I’ve gone to the pool a couple of times this month, which is lots of fun.
I love my lambie lovie blanket. It helps me go to sleep.
I still have a really sweet baby mullet. It’s brown. I think it looks really good with the rest of my blonde hair, so I’ll keep it for a while longer. People pay big bucks to have “low lights”, ya know?!
This past month was off in the nighttime sleep department for me. I go to sleep at 7 p.m. and wake up to eat around 5 a.m., but I am waking up at least once, mostly two and three times each night-which I had never done before. There are some nights I am up for a couple of hours at a time. I think Mommy has been really tired this month, but I keep telling her it will get better soon. My brain is processing a lot this month!
My mouth is hurting a lot; the big people say I am teething. Not sure what that means, but I will keep you posted.
I am told that I am going on an airplane for the first time soon. I also don’t know what that means, but again, I will keep you posted.
Little man is four months old. It’s amazing how much he changes with each month, and the hospital/newborn days seem so long ago. At the same time, though, each day flies by. We have a joyful little guy who loves to laugh and smile.
I rolled over from my tummy to my back right before my four-month birthday!
I talk ALL.THE.TIME. I am very passionate when I talk. It’s alot of fun when I get really loud. It may sound like I am mad, but I’m not. I just want to be sure everyone hears me.
Everything I can get my hands on goes straight for my mouth, and I drool all day long.
I discovered my feet, and I like to stick them straight up in the air and then grab them.
I love to kick in the bathtub, it makes me laugh so hard when I splash everywhere.
I weighed 15 pounds 3 ounces at my four-month checkup, and I measured 24 inches long. Daddy says I’m a two-footer. I think that is a reference to a fish, but I’m not sure.
I went to my first wedding (Laura Furr now Herrera). I went to my first parade on July 4th, and I spent my first night with Gigi and Roy while mommy and daddy went to Corpus.
I sleep 10-11 hours at a time each night. I’m getting really good at putting myself to sleep, which doesn’t seem like a big deal to me, but Mommy seems to be happy about it.
Little man is three months old. We have seen so many changes between two and three months. It’s been really fun to see his big smiles, giggles and
little big personality. I went back to work after twelve weeks, but I am starting a reduced work hour schedule next week. I am really thankful for a little bit of flexibility so that I can be home on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I love to talk, squeal, giggle and make “goo” noises. I’m pretty good at rolling my “r’s”; I’m working on that for when I learn Spanish.
I think I’ve given up on my thumb, and now I just want to put my entire fist in my mouth.
At 10 weeks, I decided that the swaddle I loved so dearly was not my cup of tea. I did everything I could to let mommy and daddy know, and they finally decided to quit that tight blanket stuff.
Now, I sleep on my tummy with my arms and legs free for at least ten hours each night.
I got to move into my own room and sleep in my big boy crib at 12 weeks. There’s a lot more room in there for me to move around.
I weigh almost 14.5 pounds.
My hair is getting longer, it’s blonde on top, but I am working on a baby mullet that is brown.
Little man is two months old. The past two months have been fun/amazing/challenging (in a good way). I experienced my first Mother’s Day as a momma. What a blessing and a joy it is to be this little boy’s mommy.
I’ve discovered that smiling really big gets a good reaction from mommy and daddy.
I love to “talk” and squeal to anyone/anything that will listen: my mommy and daddy, my toys and those colorful bugs that hang from my car seat.
I am really trying to get my thumb in my mouth, but I guess I’m not very coordinated with my arms yet. I’m gonna keep working on it.
I weighed 12 pounds 15 ounces at the doctor’s appointment today, and I measured 23.5 inches long.
I am now sleeping at least 8 hours at a time each night; on my nine week birthday, I slept nine hours. I did go through a 7-week growth spurt and woke up a lot at night for a few days in a row.
I’m starting to enjoy the car a little bit more.
My hair is starting to grow back on the top of my head; what a relief!
Little man is one month old.
I love being held and rocked to sleep.
I love to eat, and I am finally sporting some serious leg rolls, arm rolls and a double chin.
I weigh a little over 10 pounds and usually sleep 3-4 hours at a time each night, although, one night I went for five hours and mommy seemed very happy!
I’ve outgrown my newborn diapers and some of my newborn clothes.
I am working on my neck muscles and am getting really good at lifting my head and holding it for a while.
My hair is starting to fall out on the top of my head; I guess that’s what happens when you get old.
I love accelerating in the car (I get that from my daddy) and really dislike red lights. I let everyone know by screaming when we stop.
It’s a little hard to believe that almost three weeks with the little man have already gone by. The days have been filled with lots of family and friends making visits, feeding, changing diapers and sleeping. Did I mention feeding and changing diapers? We’re enjoying the days of Noah being so snuggly and sleeping through anything. Here are some photos from visitors in the hospital to the first weeks at home.
